Night Light with White Noise is developed and operated by Thread Forge Software (Pty) Ltd (“Thread Forge Software”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how the Night Light with White Noise Android application (“the App”) handles information when you use it.
Information stored by the App
The App stores certain preferences locally on your device so that your settings can be restored between sessions. These may include:
- selected night-light colour;
- screen brightness preference;
- selected sound;
- playback volume;
- app usage counters used for features such as review prompts;
- whether certain in-app guidance has already been shown; and
- the expiry time of a temporary ad-free period earned by watching a rewarded advertisement.
This information is stored locally using Android application storage. Thread Forge Software does not operate a user account system or first-party backend for this App, and these preferences are not sent to Thread Forge Software.
Advertising
Night Light with White Noise is supported by advertising provided through Google AdMob. The App may display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements.
Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to infer approximate location;
- device or advertising identifiers;
- interactions with advertisements and the App;
- diagnostic information; and
- other information required for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related advertising services.

Rewarded advertisements
The App allows users to voluntarily watch a rewarded advertisement in exchange for a temporary period without advertisements.
The expiry time of this benefit is stored locally on your device so that the remaining period can continue after the App is restarted.
No purchase, subscription, or user account is created as part of this feature.
Google Play services
The App may use services provided by Google Play, including Google Play's in-app review functionality. These services may process information in accordance with Google's own privacy policies and terms.
Audio and media
All white-noise and ambient-sound audio included with the App is bundled with the App and played locally on your device.
The App does not record audio and does not request access to your microphone.
Location
The App does not request access to your device's precise or approximate location permissions.
However, third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob may infer approximate location from information such as your IP address.
Device permissions
The App does not request access to:
- your contacts;
- microphone;
- photos or media library;
- precise or approximate location permissions;
- device storage files; or
- camera.
Some permissions may be included by third-party libraries where required for advertising, networking, device identification, media playback, or other technical functionality.
Data sharing
Thread Forge Software does not sell personal information.
Information processed by third-party services may be shared with those service providers where necessary to provide advertising, consent management, fraud prevention, diagnostics, or related functionality.
The primary third-party provider used by the App is Google.
Data retention and deletion
Thread Forge Software does not maintain user accounts or a first-party server database for Night Light with White Noise.
Most App settings are stored locally on your device and can be removed by:
- clearing the App's storage;
- uninstalling the App; or
- changing or resetting relevant settings within the App where available.
Information processed independently by Google or other third-party providers is retained according to their respective privacy policies and data-retention practices.
Security
We take reasonable measures to design the App so that it collects and stores only information necessary for its functionality.
Because the App does not operate a first-party account system or backend database, Thread Forge Software does not maintain a central database of Night Light user profiles.
Third-party providers are responsible for the security of information processed through their services.
Children and younger users
The App is not specifically designed for young children.
Advertising and consent behaviour may vary depending on applicable laws, regional requirements, and settings configured through Google's advertising services.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a Thread Forge Software account or backend because the App does not provide either.
